Knott’s Scary Farm, is it fun for all ages?
Ahhh, the memories of my youth. I spent many fall nights at Knott’s Scary Farm- Halloween Haunt all throughout high school. During those days, it was the place to be for Halloween. Of course, the only way to go was with your boyfriend. That way there was a silly excuse to hold him, hug him and climb on him when you would get scared. Oh come on, now… you all know exactly when I mean!
So, is this event for kids? No. Definitely, not for the little ones. This is catered to the older crowd. But I have to say this, if your tween, pre-teen or teens are scared of some gory stuff, for sure this is not for them. There’s a lot of scaring going on around the park. There are certain sections that are so dense with fog that you literally cannot see your hand (or leering monsters) in front of you. These are prime sections for the monsters and zombies to pop out of freaking nowhere and scare the living daylights out of you. Also, there are creepy characters walking around everywhere. So beware!
There’s tons to see and do. Mazes, shows and certain attractions are in on the fun too. Knott’s Halloween Haunt is truly an awesome time to remember. Just a reminder that there are NO costumes allowed and there is NO re-entry during this event. And to be honest, it really isn’t recommended for children under 13. I will be going to Knott’s on the 22nd. I haven’t been to Halloween Haunt in almost 20 years.
This is going to be fun.
I hope I am making myself pretty clear. If you are looking into more family friendly stuff, Camp Spooky (which will feature special Halloween activities) is your way to go.
This year, Halloween Haunt is taking place “weekend” nights: September 21 – October 31.
Ticket prices are pretty reasonable right now. October 31 sells out very fast! Early bird “online” prices are $36.00.
At the gate, the night of the events, the prices are $60.00.
There is a special online combo pack that you can buy for $50.99. This includes your admission into the park, a “Boo-Fet” (dinner buffet) and early entry into the park.
And last but not lease, for $60.00, you can hold a spot in “Trapped” one of the main mazes at the park. This is an online price that includes your admission into Halloween Haunt. At the door, on the night of the event will cost you $75.00.
