Deep Fried Hot Dogs, Curly Fries and Snow Cones, oh my!

The L.A. County fair is in full swing and so is the oh so yummy food selections that are freshly prepared just for you! I know that fair food has bad reputation, but if you only eat this kind of food, once a year… then what’s the harm, right?

(insert nervous he he  here!)

I had the chance to preview some of the fair’s bountiful feasts.  Here are my top 3 choices.

Chicken Charlie’s Pineapple Shrimp

This did NOT taste like fair food.  Granting that I didn’t eat the shrimp (I don’t like seafood), the rice was just plain, OUT OF THIS WORLD, rice and the pineapple was fresh and delicious. According to those in my group, the shrimp was phenomenal.  This is a must have at the fair.

10-pound Buns

No, they are not 10 pounds but the taste is scrumptious.  This is the buffalo chicken bun. They serve the bun with all sorts of toppings. Actually, you can top the bun with whatever you like. The options are limitless as to how you would like your 10-pound bun! Combos to try?  Of course the pepperoni with cheese and the Nutela with bacon on top.

C’est La Vie’s Strawberry Tart

The delectable dessert is the one sweet piece of heaven that you want when you’re at the fair.  If you’ve been eating way too much fried food and want something to calm the sweet tooth cravings, this is your perfect choice.  It’s not too sweet, the strawberries are huge and delicious and the tart inside, hits the right spot.

There ya have it, folks.  Now, I want to know about your favorite food at the county fair.  Is there a certain booth you hit first? What is your MUST HAVE food at the L. A. County Fair?

This is not a paid post. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I was invited to this exclusive event to facilitate this review.
