Last week I had the great pleasure of meeting Brooke Burke! I was starstruck! She beautiful and super sweet! I was able to sit down with her and talk about a new campaign she is working on. She teamed up with and OralB and Operation Smile to help kids in third world countries get the smiles they need.

Everyone should have the right to smile. Everyone…. Young and old. I am happy to join along and tell you about this great campaign.  Here is a little part of the interview:

TOAM:  How did you get involved with OralB?

BB:  OralB approached me and I fully understand the importance of  having self esteem and taking care of your self and oral hygiene.   I have a house with 4 kids, and this is something I do not let slide.  But, I was more excited about the affiliation they have with operation smile.  It’s an organization that I love, and I am getting involved personally.    They provide free surgery for cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities. It’s unbelievable.   Oralb has donated $25,000 to cover 100 surgeries.  That is amzing.

TOAM:  Do you think you’ll get the kids involved with this amazing work that this charity is providing?

BB:  We’re thinking about going on a mission with operation smile, and I’m trying to figure out what’s safe and where.  Maybe in Mexico.   There’s one in Mexico, that’s closest.    There’s also a mission in the Dominica Republic.  I’d like to take my oldest daughter.  She’s 10.  I think there’s a really important lesson to be taught, and to be learned about what’s happening in the world. If there’s a role for her to help, I’d like for her to take it.

You know what I loved about this interview?  She is so sincere.   She was so engaging.  Easy to approach.   I’m a happy that she was my first celebrity interview.  There is more to the interview, but I felt that these answers really told the story about the charity work of Operation Smile and OralB.

La semana pasada tuve el gran placer de entrevistar a Brooke Burke!  Ella es hermosa y super dulce! Tuve la oportunidad de hablar con ella sobre una nueva campaña que está trabajando. Ella se unió con y OralB y Operation Smile para ayudar a los niños en los países del tercer mundo obtener las sonrisas que necesitan.

TOAM: ¿Cómo te involucraste con OralB?

BB: OralB habló conmigo y entiendo de  la importancia de tener la autoestima y el cuidado de su higiene oral. Tengo cuatro niños, y esto es algo que no me dejó pasar. Pero, yo estaba más entusiasmada con la afiliación que tienen con Operation Smile. Es una organización que me encanta, y me estoy involucrado personalmente. Ofrecen cirugía gratuita de labio leporino, paladar hendido y otras deformidades faciales. Es increíble. OralB ha donado $25,000 dólares para cubrir el costo de 100 cirugías. ¡Eso es increíble!

TOAM: ¿Crees que vas a involucrar a los niños en este trabajo asombroso que esta caridad está ofreciendo?

BB: Estamos pensando en ir en una misión con Operation Smile, y estoy tratando de averiguar un lugar que es seguro.  Tal vez en México. Hay uno en México, y es el más cerca de aquí . Hay también una misión en la República Dominicana. Me gustaría llevar a mi hija mayor. Ella tiene 10años. Creo que hay una lección muy importante que se les enseñe, y que ella aprenda de lo que está sucediendo en el mundo. Si hay un papel que pueda desempeñar, me gustaria que lo tomara.

¿Sabes lo que me encantó de esta entrevista? Ademas de ser una super estrella,  es tan sincera… . Fácil de hablar con ella.  Soy feliz de que ella fue mi primera entrevista . Hay más de la entrevista, pero sentí que estas respuestas realmente contó la historia sobre el trabajo de caridad de Operation  Smile y OralB.
