Alvin and the Chipmunks take over Dodger Stadium

Last Saturday I was able to witness something rare!  Alvin and the Chipmunks took over Dodger Stadium!!!! Whoo hoooo! So, my familia and I went to see what the squeak was all about.

The Boys and Girls Club is the official charity of Major League Baseball.  The East Los Angeles Chapter of the Boys and Girls club were there to kick off the festivities.

Here are some of the highlights of that day.

  • The day kicked off in Autograph Alley, which was filled with numerous Alvin and the Chipmunk fans, entertained by a variety of activities including Alvin-themed karaoke, Chipmunk tattoos and coloring sheets with their favorite Chipmunk.
  • Some Fans were also able to enjoy music from La Rockola 96.7, who were giving Chipmunk shout outs and passing out Alvin hats.
  • As well as Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Ross Bagdasarian, Jr., Janice Karman and the Boys and Girls Club of East LA. who sang “America The Beautiful,” and later helped The Chipmunks take on the field.
  • The Chipmunks also led the crowd in the fan favorite “Take Me Out To The Ball Game.”
Here is Ross Bagdasarian, Jr.as he tried his hand at a “strike” for the first pitch, and The Chipmunks official debuted as the honorary bat kids.

Jeez, I honestly don’t remember the last time I went to Dodger Stadium.  It’s beautiful! It was also the first baseball game for my niños.  It was fun seeing their faces as the game went on.  Even though the little ones don’t really understand the game all that much, they had a great time munching on goodies!

I have to say that later on in the day, I was given the great privilege of  interviewing the producers of the Chipmunks- Ross Bagdasarian and Janice Karman.  This husband and wife team are a delight to speak with.  I hope you enjoy the following video.  Yikes, my first interview ever! (:  It starts with my first question: What is the story behind the “Chipettes”

I can’t believe they sat down with me… ME! Imagine that…. This is definitely the highlight of my blogging career!

To Fox Studios and the get-along gang of Arenas Group, de todo corazón, Muchas Gracias….

Awesome! Your voice sounds just fine- I think we all worry a bit too much about how we sound when we are recorded. Your recorded voice sounds very sweet, which reflects your true personality. You did great job Liz!
